On #2 - you are sooooo correct. When I heard that the pharmaceutical companies were working on a Viagra-like drug for women, I told my husband that unless it can clean the kitchen and do 3 loads of laundry, it's not gonna do a thing for me...

Fighting: That's a good channel to monitor for live music. I've seen several great shows (Sammy Hagar and the Waboritas, Velvet Revolver, Pink Floyd, Lindsey Buckingham, Barry Manilow...). Just be careful around your little ones; they don't edit the language in the "stage banter," which depending on the artist can get pretty raunchy.

nhfalcon: Yeah, he was/is a killer shredder, and I think the Odyssey record (with Joe Lynn Turner on lead vocals) was the best-sounding band he ever had. I actually got to see him with my bud Charles about eight years ago at 328 Performance Hall, a charming dive in Nashville that isn't there anymore. He was good. However, approximately 75% of the reason we went was to see his opener/co-headliner: LIZZY BORDEN! Yup, we got to see the Deal with the Devil tour, and Lizzy lived up to our expectations.

I miss 328.

Ah, Yngwie! I remember him well. I think I got "Trilogy" first, follwed by "Odyssey," and then two or three of his following CDs. Brilliant guitar player. Cookiemaker and I were just looking at some "100 Greatest Guitar Players of All Time" list on the web last night, and he was on there, and Cookiemaker said, "Who's THAT?!"

I was more than happy to show her. :)

Remember that meme that asked if you could marry a celebrity who would it be? I answered Dave Grohl and I got to see Foo Fighters on HDNet today. It was so f*ckin awesome. First time I've ever watched that channel.

I am so grateful when my husband washes the dishes. I agree with you about what it does for my disposition!
